Virtual Center for Active Adults

Find Connection, Stay Active and Have Fun

The goal of the Virtual Center for Active Adults is to enrich the lives of older adults and adults with disabilities in Northern Virginia while combatting isolation. Here you can connect with your peers, engage in a variety of activities and discover useful resources.

Join live, interactive programs and engage with other adults. You can also watch prerecorded programs on-demand on your own schedule.

  • Due to health and safety concerns and to avoid unnecessary disruptions, classes will close 10 minutes after their start time and new participants will not be admitted. 
  • Programs and lectures offered on the VCAA are intended to educate our participants and enrich their lives. We are not promoting any particular service, opinion or cause. The views expressed by a presenter are their own and are not necessarily endorsed by the VCAA or its partner jurisdictions.
  • During inclement weather, scheduled VCAA classes and programs may be substituted or canceled without warning. When classes are canceled, please visit the VCAA playlist on YouTube to participate in a wide variety of pre-recorded fitness classes and other activities.

To help participants access the technology they need to take part in virtual activities from home, the ServiceSource Foundation has launched the Technology Grant Program. This program will help by providing tablets to older adults and people with disabilities who need them the most.
