Welcome Michigan public libraries! Thank you for exploring Oceans of Possibilities at your local Michigan public library this summer! Congratulations on meeting your reading goals! Because of your participation in your summer library program, you qualify for a discount at the Detroit Zoo! Promotion ends September 30, 2022. You can purchase one general admission ticket to the Zoo and receive a second general admission ticket redeemable for one child ages 2-18 years of age FREE! Select the number of tickets you would like to pay for and one FREE ticket will automatically be added to your order for every ticket purchased. FREE ticket is redeemable for one child ages 2-18 years of age. No date/time extensions will be given. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Zoo!

Hours of Operation

Open Year-Round

(Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day)
October 1 - December 31, 2023: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

January 1 - March 31, 2024: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
April 1 - September 2, 2024: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On June 21, 2024, the Detroit Zoo will be closed for the annual Sunset at the Zoo fundraiser.

 
Discounted General Admission-III

Tickets are valid for general admission during regular Zoo hours only and do not include vouchers for rides or attractions. DOES NOT INCLUDE DINOSAURIA, ZOO BOO and/or WILD LIGHTS ADMISSION. Parking not included. Prices and operating schedule are subject to change without notice.
Face masks are encouraged indoors for the well-being of each other, staff and the animals who call the Detroit Zoo home. Let's work together. Please be respectful, help each other and help protect the endangered animals.
