You are invited to our inaugural Michigan Military & Veterans Gala on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021 at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township.
Hosted by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency and our parent department, the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the night will start with a 6 p.m. social hour, followed by the 7 p.m. Gala. The fun-filled evening will take place inside an elegantly transformed hangar that will also feature an awards ceremony, heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, music and dancing. Join us while we recognize one of our state's greatest resources: National Guard service members, veterans, and their families!
Tickets will be $40 through Sept. 30; starting Oct. 1, tickets will increase to $50. To accommodate the clearance process, all tickets must be purchased by Oct 15. Please note that this is an adults-only event.
Note: All attendees must pass a background check to enter Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The relevant information will be collected during the ticket purchasing process. If anyone does not meet the requirements to enter the base, a refund will be issued. All information will remain strictly confidential.

Q: What is the dress attire for the Gala?
A: Elegant attire – mess dress, suits, dresses. Black tie optional.
Q: Do I need security clearance to be at the Gala on Base?
A: Yes, everyone entering the premises must go through a clearance process. The necessary questions will be obtained through Eventbrite when you purchase your ticket. All information is strictly confidential.
Q: What might disqualify me from passing the clearance process?
A: A few reasons may include having an expired license, insurance or car registration; open warrants; certain felonies.
Q: Does my Military ID give me automatic clearance to enter the Base?
A: The only forms of identification that apply are a Common Access Card (CAC), dependent ID, a VA Card or a Retired Military/Dependent Card. VA Cards need to be activated at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
