COVID-19 has transformed telehealth from a convenient perk into an essential element of healthcare. As the pandemic continues, and the demand on our healthcare systems increases, how can we use telehealth to get the most value for our healthcare dollars and engage with our providers in meaningful ways? In this session, we'll learn what to expect from this new patient-provider engagement and how it is shaping the future of our healthcare.

The challenges of living through this pandemic are compounded by societal unrest. As we navigate these uncertain times, how can we sharpen our awareness and understanding of ourselves and of others? In this session, we'll learn how to foster a sense of community and an attitude of inclusion, bringing acceptance and empathy in our daily lives.

Mental distress in young people has reached an all-time high. How can we take a proactive approach to dealing with issues like anxiety and addiction before they become even more dangerous? In this session, we'll hear from medical professionals and local community organizations about trends among youth and adolescents, and important tools and resources to support them in these uncertain times.

Living through change means learning to adapt. In this era, mental and emotional health are more of a priority than ever, and that means that self-care is vital. In this session, we'll learn about mindfulness, acupuncture, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more - all of which are crucial for effective behavioral health management. 

  • Wednesday, April 21, 2021 - Dealing with Unrest, Part 2: Helping Families and Children

As we navigate these uncertain times and face the challenges of societal unrest, how do we help families have tough conversations with their children about race and equity? In this session, we will focus on helping families and children build capacity to talk together about tough issues and find support.
