2021 MVAA and Trust Fund Exceptional Service Award
The deadline to submit your nomination is Friday, October 1st, 2021.


PRESENTED TO: The individual or county that best utilizes a County Veteran Service Fund (CVSF) grant to implement innovative ideas that further or improve service to veterans and their families, or to an individual that most represents exceptional and dedicated service to veterans and their families.

PURPOSE: To recognize and honor an individual or county whose efforts to serve veterans and their families has been an especially innovative or dedicated nature that has resulted in measurable improvement or a record of accomplishment.

ELIGIBILITY:
• Eligible counties must have received and utilized a CVSF grant in the previous or current year AND must provide MVTF application services for the veterans/families in their county.
• Eligible individuals must be involved in the provision of MVTF services to veterans and their families as a county employee, Veterans Service Officer (VSO), MVTF agent, or MVTF committee member.
• Submissions should include detailed examples and/or data, to the extent possible, on the nominee's efforts toward the outcomes of the award's purpose.

Nominations will be evaluated on the overall scope and impact of a nominee’s or organization’s service to veterans and their families.

This program is administered by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. Anyone can nominate candidates for this award, but the nominee must meet the eligibility criteria. Submissions will be reviewed by an independent panel. The award recipient will be honored at the Michigan Military's Veterans Gala on Nov 06, 2021, at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
