PRESENTED TO: The County that demonstrates noteworthy impact on its veteran population, through the use of the CVSF grant and other resources, in the areas of benefit connectivity, employment, education, healthcare, quality of life, and/or innovative programming.
PURPOSE: To recognize an individual county whose efforts and impact on the veteran population, in the areas of benefit connectivity, employment, education, healthcare, quality of life, and/or innovative programming, improve the lives for veterans and their families while providing other counties an example to emulate.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must have been awarded a CVSF grant from MVAA.
• Must have a VSO (Veteran Service Officer).
• Must be a county that was awarded a CVSF grant that was used during the award period.
• Submissions should include detailed examples and data, to the extent possible, on the county’s efforts and impact toward the award’s purpose.
This program is administered by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. Anyone can nominate candidates for this award, but the nominee must meet the eligibility criteria. Submissions will be reviewed by an independent panel. The award recipient will be honored at the Michigan Military & Veterans on Gala Nov 06, 2021, at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
