December Crafts
The festivities are just getting started!

It’s holiday time, and Anaheim Public Library has lots of festive activities planned.

Highlights include gingerbread storytimes, ornament workshops, Victorian Christmas Open House Tours, and holiday movies - plus an epic reading program so you can reach your reading goals!

Founders' Park
Discover the magic of Founders' Park

The holiday season is the very best time to discover the magic of Founders' Park. 

The whole family will enjoy this journey back in time to experience the spirit of a traditional Victorian Christmas. Join us on the first two Saturdays in December to tour Anaheim's historic Mother Colony and Woelke-Stoffel Houses decorated in Victorian holiday style. Volunteer docents with be dressed in their best-period dress and will be on hand to offer insight about Anaheim's Victorian roots.

Join us on December 4 and 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Founders' Park (400 N. West Street).

  • Bilingual Storytime, 4 p.m.
    on Mondays at Central

  • Family Storytime, 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at Sunkist

  • All Ages Storytime, 11 a.m. on Wednesdays at East Anaheim

  • Family Storytime, 3 p.m. on Fridays at Euclid

Storytime participants ages 3-11 must wear a mask.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a... Christmas tree? Make your very own flying Christmas tree. Learn what makes these flying Christmas trees take flight!

Closing Celebration

Thurs, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. at Haskett

Join the Qabila Folkdance Company as they journey across the Arab World
in a celebration of dance and music from Gilf to the Maghreb.

Qabila is dedicated to sharing the joy and diversity of Arabic folk dance rooted in the belief art brings people together, united in humanity. Participants will also
enjoy sampling of Arabic food and create delightful crafts.

Library Locations & Hours

Closed on Fri, Dec. 24 and on Fri, Dec. 31 in observance of
New Year’s Eveand New Year's Day.

Central Library, Canyon Hills Branch, and Haskett Branch will be open regular hours from Mon, Dec. 27 through Thurs, Dec. 30, except for closures on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. East Anaheim Branch will be open regular hours from Mon, Dec. 27 through Wed, Dec. 29. 
 
Euclid Branch, Sunkist Branch, and the Mobile Library will be closed from Mon, Dec. 27 through Thurs, Dec. 30, and will resume regular hours on Mon, Jan. 3, 2022.
