The County of San Luis Obispo is seeking immediate support for the Public Health COVID-19 Contact Tracing Team.
Under general direction, the Contact Tracer plays an important role in public health responses to infectious disease. By tracing the contacts of COVID-19 confirmed individuals the Public Health department aims to reduce infections in the population for the COVID-19 response.
Typical Tasks and Representative Duties:
The COVID-19 Contact Tracers make contact with individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. Through compassionate investigation, they determine individuals who may be at risk of contracting COVID-19, issue isolation orders, provide technical assistance and case management for all services that a self-isolating person may need such as food and pharmacy needs. The Contact Tracers make daily contact with positive testing persons to check in and release from quarantine when appropriate.
Ideal Candidates will possess:
An initial application review will be conducted. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and are best qualified will be invited to participate in selection activities which may include online assessments, performance exams, written exams, and interviews.
Final candidates will be required to have an in-depth background review performed before proceeding in the process. Please note that references will not be contacted until the end of the process.
