Dear Friend,

Can you believe it? Advocacy Day is TOMORROW!

Here's everything you need to know to participate tomorrow:

Advocacy Day will be held entirely online this year to protect the health and safety of our consumers and staff.

  • Do I need to register to attend? No! All you have to do is tune into one of our livestreams starting at 10 AM on Wednesday. We recommend that you go ahead and follow our Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages, so it will be easier to find us when we go live off of these accounts!
  • Will it be accessible? Yes! Open captions (CART) and an ASL interpreter will be on the screen at all times. As always, if you have any additional accessibility concerns, please email us at advocacy@able-sc.org.
  • How can I participate? You have so many different ways to participate! Here are just a few that we recommend:
    • Leave comments during the livestreams. Whether it's just to say "Hi," it's a link to a relevant site, or it's a response to one of our speakers, we welcome all types of engagement!
    • Are you stuck at home and feeling like getting crafty? Create your own posters as if you were attending Advocacy Day in person! Post them on social media and be sure to tag us in it so we can share.
    • Take the #BarrierFreeSC challenge! Take a video or picture explaining what a #BarrierFreeSC means to you, and share it on social media with the hashtag! Click here for a petition that you can print and share.

Need an example? Here's what a #BarrierFreeSC means to Robbie:

We can't wait for Advocacy Day to be bigger and better than ever with you all tomorrow!
