It takes all of us to beat the stigma when it comes to mental health and addiction, including state leaders, businesses and recovery centers. Ohio has invested significant time, money and resources to help provide recovery, hope, and a path forward, but still there are many misconceptions about people living with mental illness and substance use disorders. These stigmas are not only wrong, they are in many cases preventing people from seeking the help they need to recover.
