WHO WE ARE

We're women on a conservation journey: farmers, landowners, farm workers, gardeners, urban growers and conservation professionals who share a passion for taking good care of soil, water, and wildlife. We are also biologists, researchers, farm market managers, prairie enthusiasts, hunters, fishers, retirees and young women with dreams of land ownership. By sharing stories, knowledge and experience, we are working together for a brighter future on the earth.

NURTURING LAND.
AND OURSELVES.

WHAT WE DO

WiWiC hosts learning circles, field days, webinars, happy hours, conferences and other networking events. We run a conservation-themed women-only Listserv, facilitate the WiWiC Conservation Educator Network and share conservation resources via social media and our monthly e-newsletter. Our mission is to empower, educate, inspire, and connect women for the sake of the land and for the human wellness created through stewardship. We are building Regional Networks in the colored areas of the map, but events are open to all. See the Team page to connect with a Region. We are here to nurture land and ourselves. Join us!

“Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.”
