Slidell Youth Basketball Association (SYBA) has been serving Slidell for over 30 years with its basketball and volleyball leagues and camps. SYBA has been the backbone of sports in Slidell.
We are now under new leadership and are making some changes for the betterment of our kids. One of the changes is to add volleyball to our name. From this day forward, we are known as Slidell Youth Volleyball Basketball Association (SYVBA).
Summer Camp 2024
Registration for FAST Summer Basketball Camp at SYVBA is now open for boys & girls ages 5-14.
Camp Dates: May 27th - August 2nd
Hours: 8AM-4PM
Full Summer Price: $1000 ($900 for siblings)
Weekly Price: $150 / Daily Price: $65
*Non-refundable Registration Fee of $25 applies.
Summer Basketball 2024
Registration for Summer Basketball League at SYVBA is now open for boys & girls ages 4-17.
Registration Fee: $110 (includes jersey)
June 3rd - July 20th; Games on Saturdays
Practices will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays

OUR PROGRAMS
Our Basketball Program is under the leadership of Coach James Parlow. Coach Parlow is a pillar in the basketball community, having already trained hundreds of athletes on the basketball circuit for many years.
Our Volleyball Program is under the leadership of Coach Clay Richardson. Coach Clay has been a pillar in the volleyball community for many years, and has proved to be a key piece to building up our volleyball program.

Our volleyball leagues are offered twice a year: spring and fall. We have 3 age groups: 6-10, 11-12, & 13-17. We welcome all skill levels and everyone makes a team! Spring Volleyball registration begins in January and season begins in March. Fall Volleyball registration begins in June and season begins in late August/early September.

Our basketball leagues are offered twice a year: summer and winter. We offer basketball for ages 4-17. We welcome all skill levels and everyone makes a team! Summer Basketball registration begins in April and the season begins in June. Winter Basketball registration begins in September and season begins in December.

Registration for Summer Camp is open. Dates: May 27th-August 2nd.

We host a variety of free skills trainings for the kids in our community throughout the year. We take pride in developing our athletes and encouraging them to be the best version of themselves both on and off the court.
SYVBA Cares
At Slidell Youth Volleyball Basketball Association, we understand the importance youth recreational sports has in the social, mental, and physical development of the children in our community. We believe access to youth sports should not be limited by affordability.
We are excited to announce our newest program: “SYVBA Cares”.
This program aims to allow children in our community from income-restricted families to receive financial assistance to participate in our leagues. We hope by removing the financial strain, children can experience the many benefits of playing the sports we offer here at SYVBA.

We are the only league in Slidell that has its own gym. This means we are the only league that can provide proper practice and training. We offer free training to the entire league throughout our season.
Our league has had over 100 players go on to play college ball, and you will soon see their jerseys hung up in our gym.
We are excited to share the history of Slidell sports, and we are even more excited to contribute to its future.
