About

Welcome to the New York City Department Of Correction Bangladeshi Correction Society(BCS)

It is my privilege and pleasure to welcome you to the New York City Department Of Correction Bangladeshi Correction Society. Bangladeshi Correction Society (BCS) was formed in January of 2018 with few Bangladeshi Correction officers. BCS was registered with New York State in January 2019 and got approval from the New York City Department of Correction as a fraternal organization on January 28, 2020. The members of the BCS consist of the New York City Department of Correction both uniform and civilian, active or retired.
I am proud to be a part of BCS. I am most honored and humbled to be selected as the President of Bangladeshi Correction Society with the help and support of my executive board members and my fellow coworkers. I have already seen the energy, enthusiasm and commitment that you bring to the board. BCS members are known for their hard work and dedication.

Today BCS is one of the fastest growing fraternal organization in New York City Department of Correction making noticeable progress in the community because of its members team work. Despite working in a such a stressful environment we managed to get some time and worked really hard for the community. We specially would like to work for the betterment and improved future of our members children. Our goal is to create  and develop a better future for them. Most of us here are the first generation in this country and we came this far dealing with our own struggle. We don’t want to see our children to go through the same.

I would like to invite all staff of NYC DOC to be a member and work together with us. We must have respect for our upper management and senior officers, however we don’t want to make a gap between us in BCS. We are BCS.

Once again thank you and may we work together regardless of position for betterment of Bangladeshi Correction Society.

Fraternally,

Kazi Hasan
President
