We Acknowledge:
That we are on Native Land, specifically the ancestral homeland of the Lenape people, who were the original stewards and caretakers here. They called Staten Island home during the Eastern Woodlands time period, until they were displaced by European settlers.
We honor their past, present, and future by making sustainability and conservation main tenets of New Nature Arts, as well as integrating Indigenous concepts of stewardship and resourcefulness into all that we do.
