Come join the Friends of the Pine Bush Community as we explore a globally rare ecosystem right here in the Capital District! This group is for anyone interested in local environmental conservation, outdoor recreation, and learning new things. Our gatherings range from volunteering in the preserve to hikes, bike rides, and more! Meet-up with us to enjoy socializing with others who enjoy the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.

See all- Volunteer Roadside Cleanup at the Pine BushYonder Farms, Albany, NY
Join the Friends of the Pine Bush Community for a roadside cleanup. We’ll continue the great work we did a few weeks ago for Earth Day.
We’ll meet at Yonder Farms, 4301 Albany Street. We’ll gather in the parking lot, where gloves, safety vests and garbage bags will be distributed.
All participants need to exercise extreme care, as this road can get busy. For that reason, this event is an adults only MeetUp. Please wear long sleeve shirts, long pants and boots. Bring your own insect repellant, a snack and water.

- Start the Pine Bush 20 Mile Challenge!195 New Karner Rd, Albany, NE
Have you heard of the Adirondack 46 Challenge? Did you know that a local preserve has our own exciting hiking challenge?
Join the Friends of the Pine Bush Community for an afternoon hike in the preserve, and get started on the 20 Mile Challenge! Upon completion you’ll earn a nifty patch and bragging rights!
We’ll meet at Trailhead #1 and hike the yellow trail, about 2.5 miles.

- Volunteer trail clean up with the Friends of the Pine Bush CommunityKings Highway Barrens, Schenectady, NY
The purpose of this trail cleanup is to remove some of the broken glass, making the trail safer for hikers and their dogs.
Bring your own sturdy gloves if you prefer, but gloves will also be available and containers for the pieces.
