The Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) is one of 56 Councils nationwide that are guided by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act.
We bring together community partners to address critical issues, provide leadership, training, and advocate for equitable policies, programs, and practices on behalf of people with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) announces the release of a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify and report on challenges and evidence-based practices that are focused on helping individuals and families access services for co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental illness or other mental/behavioral health challenges within the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) community in Washington State. Qualified applicants are invited to submit their proposals for consideration.

Wednesday April 24th - Town Hall Meeting - 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday April 25th - Council meeting day 1 - 9 am to 4 pm
Friday April 26th - Council meeting day 2 - 9 am to 12 pm
The DDC is required to create a 5-Year State Plan to address the needs of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Our State Plan helps guide our daily work, ensure we are addressing the most important priorities of the developmental disabilities community, and hold ourselves accountable to specific goals and objectives.
The council is soliciting proposals to organizations and community members to pursue leadership activities in their communities.
