News & Recent Events

Measles exposures

The Washtenaw County Health Department has recently reported cases of measles, including an exposure on the U-M campus. University officials are working closely with the county health department and continue to monitor the situation. Vaccination is highly effective against measles, including within 3 days of exposure. Students who are not vaccinated can get vaccines at UHS. Students who believe they were exposed to measles and develop symptoms within 21 days of the exposure date should contact UHS at [email protected].

Health and wellness vending machines

Following a recommendation from the university’s reproductive rights task force and input from student leaders, health and wellness vending machines are now a reality in campus spaces. The machines are intended to increase access to affordable health and wellness products, particularly items that may be needed discreetly, urgently, or after hours.

Nationwide shortage of ADHD medications

The UHS Pharmacy is working diligently to keep the common doses and formulations of ADHD medications in stock. A nationwide shortage is making this difficult. If you have difficulty continuing your current dose of medication we recommend you work with your pharmacy and doctor to see if a combination of strengths or another formulation is available.
