ABC 7 News was able to confirm that Chief Drain was being looked at to be the new police chief for the City of Plano with Sgt. Carla Burr, an Amarillo Police Department spokeswoman.

Burr says Drain was asked to submit an application to the Plano Police Department late last year.

According to DFW's Community Impact Newspaper, Drain is the sole finalist for the Plano vacancy.
