Apartment builder Wood Partners is gearing up for another North Texas development — this time in Plano.
The Atlanta-based developer plans to build more than 200 units in its Alta Preston project on Preston Road at Broadway Drive.
The site is across the street from Legacy business park and near employment centers for Capital One and Children’s Medical Center.
The more than 250,000-square-foot rental community is set for completion starting late next year.
Dallas architect GFF designed the project.
Wood Partners’ Ryan Miller said work should begin in the first quarter. “Very excited to be starting another project so close to the Legacy West submarket,” he said.
Wood Partners is one of the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s best-known builders. The company has developed more than a dozen North Texas rental communities. One of its newest projects is the Alta Midtown Park apartments in North Dallas on Manderville Lane that was announced in December.
The builder started more than a dozen projects nationwide in 2019.
