The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program is no longer accepting applications.

 

Curtains Up NYC is a City of New York program that offers free application assistance for NYC businesses and nonprofits connected to live performance applying for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program of the federal government.

 

Federal Shuttered Venue Operators Grant

Have a business or non-profit connected to live performance? You might be able to get up to $10 million from the federal government under the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant, which used to be called Save Our Stages.

The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program will begin accepting applications on Thursday April 8, 2021. We urge you to start organizing your application now.

 

Curtains Up NYC: Free Application Assistance

Interested in applying for a federal Shuttered Venue Operators Grant? The City of New York has a free application assistance program to help. Curtains Up NYC offers free webinars and one-on-one counseling for people interested in applying for this grant.

 

Who can apply for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant:

  • Operators or promoters of places that have live performances
  • Theater producers
  • Live Performing arts organizations
  • Museums, zoos and aquariums that meet certain guidelines
  • Movie theaters
  • Talent representatives
  • Must have been operating as of February 29, 2020

What can you get from the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant:

A grant equal to 45 percent of your 2019 gross earned revenue, up to $10 million.
