Park Outside a Station

Bikes can be parked at any public rack or other permitted bike parking. There is a small $2 fee for bikes parked outside a hub. Receive $1 credit for returning a bike to a hub.

Please Note: Bikes MUST be locked securely to a bike rack in a visible, public location. Fines for improper locking start at $5 for the first infraction, up to $15 and program suspension for additional infractions.

You are not limited to riding within the confines of the system.

But, trips must end inside the system area. If you ride outside of the system area boundary and want to lock up mid-trip, put the bike on “HOLD” in the app. Locking up and ending a trip outside the system area boundary results in a $25 out-of-system fee.

PeaceHealth Rides is a network of bike share stations, where users can pick up and drop off publicly available bicycles for one-way trips across the city. These bikes are smart and sharp, with GPS tracking and built-in safety features – so you can roll with confidence on a bicycle built for you.

Bringing bike share to our city expands transportation options for our residents and visitors at a low cost. PeaceHealth Rides is integrated with our transit system and won’t cost the people of Eugene any money to maintain. Building quality public transit is essential to building a city for the ages.

PeaceHealth Rides is a partnership between the City of Eugene, University of Oregon, and Lane Transit District and is sponsored by PeaceHealth.

PeaceHealth, based in Vancouver, Wash., is a not-for-profit Catholic health system offering care to communities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. PeaceHealth has approximately 16,000 caregivers, a group practice with more than 900 providers and 10 medical centers serving both urban and rural communities throughout the Northwest. In 1890, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace founded what has become PeaceHealth. The Sisters shared expertise and transferred wisdom from one medical center to another, always finding the best way to serve the unmet need for healthcare in their communities. Today, PeaceHealth is the legacy of the founding Sisters and continues with a spirit of respect, stewardship, collaboration and social justice in fulfilling its Mission. Cascadia Mobility is an Oregon public benefit nonprofit, currently under incubation and fiscal sponsorship within Forth, with startup funding provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). We expect to receive full 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by 2022.

Cascadia Mobility pursues shared and active transportation partnerships, programming and operations in urban communities throughout the Pacific Northwest with goals to incorporate services to include e-bikes, e-scooters, and potentially electric vehicle programs throughout the region, with an eye on interoperability across modes, cities, and with local transit agencies.

This regional, cooperative shared-mobility operating model has state and local sponsorship, and (most importantly) broad community support. As public/private partnerships, Cascadia Mobility programs work very closely with a range of stakeholders, and a public benefit mandate.

Cascadia Mobility views shared personal transportation as a crucial part of flexible, equitable transit systems. We serve municipalities invested in connected, safe active transportation infrastructure to encourage efficient, healthy modes by creating a link with shared micromobility and electric vehicle providers from the private sector that share this collaborative vision.

Follow the rules

Yield to pedestrians. Stop at all red lights. Yield right-of-way at stop signs. Ride in the direction of traffic. Use the grip bell to signal your presence. Do not wear more than one earphone while riding. Obey traffic laws at all times.

Plan a sensible route

Plan your route before you ride to follow the safest route to your destination. You can use our app to find your way to a bike you’ve reserved or to a hub when you want to end your ride.

Do a pre-ride check

Check the bike’s tire pressure; try the grip bell; and if you’re riding at night, check that the front and rear lights are illuminated.

Be predictable

Make it easy for the traffic around you. Don’t make unexpected turns that put yourself and others in danger. Ride at a steady pace so other vehicles can anticipate your movement.

Wear a helmet

Whenever you ride, wear a helmet. Always buckle the strap. Replace your helmet after any crash and whenever you see signs of damage.

Tips for turns

Use hand signals to let drivers and other cyclists know your intention to turn or to stop. Don’t turn or change lanes without knowing the position of the cars and bikes around you.
