Residents who live and work in the Snoqualmie Valley/NE King County area – this is your chance to help shape the development of your area for the next 20 years.

King County Local Services has been working the past nine months to collect data and create a work plan for the 20-year Subarea Plan for the Snoqualmie Valley/Northeast King County Community Service Area.

It’s now moving to the engagement phase of the process – which will establish the 20-year vision and policies for this unincorporated area.

This phase will start with an online Engagement Kickoff Event on Thursday, April 28. This event is scheduled 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will take place via Zoom. Below is the login information:

The meeting will provide an overview of this planning effort and feature several guest speakers, including King County Councilmember Sarah Perry. It will also offer open discussion that will allow planners to solicit feedback from unincorporated area residents and service providers.

In addition to information sharing, organizers will gather feedback from community members to scope the effort.  Please come prepared to share what you love about Snoqualmie Valley/NE King County and your vision for its future.

Spanish translation will be available (traducción al español estará disponible).

Thank you all who have contributed to date – we have some great input thus far.  We encountered some technical difficulties for a few days following an unexpected software update, but those have been resolved. We apologize to anyone who tried to provide input but had issues.

Please open the map to view fellow community member comments and add your own!  If you have any questions, please email Jesse at jesreynolds@kingcounty.gov

Countywide Comprehensive Plan

King County also has started the 2024 update of its Comprehensive Plan, a key policy document that guides how growth and development in unincorporated King County will occur over the next 20 years. The focus of this update will be on climate, housing, and anti-racist/pro-equity policies.
