The City’s Office of Historic Preservation invites you to face off in the ultimate urban scavenger hunt: The Amazing Preservation Race! The only race of its kind – think CBS’s Amazing Race but in historic downtown San Antonio. Teams of 4 must follow clues and complete challenges to fill their passports before racing to the finish. The first team to cross the finish line with their completed passport wins!

The race will start promptly at 6:30 pm at Legacy Park at 103 W Houston in front of Pinkerton’s BBQ. You may arrive by 6:00 pm to check in and prepare for the event. You’ll be able to pick up your team gear: a buff for each team member and team bibs. There will be water and restrooms available. Paid parking is available at City Tower Garage, 117 W Commerce. Come prepared with a charged phone, good running shoes, and a unique costume. Don’t forget there is a prize for the best team costume!
