The Mental Health Association in New Jersey in Ocean County's Journey to Wellness (JTW) is dedicated to supporting peers, people in recovery from mental health and/or substance use issues. As a Community Wellness Center, JTW provides an environment of mutual support and empowerment that promotes wellness, which is a state of social, spiritual, mental/emotional, intellectual, vocational and physical health. It is a place where peers can feel safe and relaxed and learn how to plan their own recovery. There is no cost to participate. Registration is not required.

MHANJ's NJ Mental Health Cares HelpLine provides callers with information, education, counseling and advocacy and connects them to the behavioral health and services they need.

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) in Ocean County's focus is education and support for members of the community who enter recovery from mental illness and/or substance abuse. All of the staff and volunteers in our the Ocean County office are peers, behavioral health consumers who serve as role models for others.
Our enthusiastic staff members are dedicated to engaging and assist participants who, themselves, are eager to learn and grow.  

Founded in 1948, the MHANJ is a statewide non-profit organization that strives for children and adults to achieve victory over mental illness and substance use disorders through advocacy, education, training and services.
