June 2019 was the last time we gathered in person for an ALA Conference, and it seems like a lifetime ago. When we attended that conference in Washington, D.C., no one could have imagined the challenges that a global pandemic would bring to our lives and to our libraries.

 

We’re excited to be returning to Washington, D.C., for our first in-person conference in three years, where some things will admittedly be different. There will be social distancing, vaccination, and mask requirements — all of which are . There will also be joyful reunions, celebrations of the work we’ve accomplished during the pandemic, and lots of great opportunities to learn from each other.
